Elliot Sneider, DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts), is a United States based pianist, composer, author, and technology expert.
He has played piano professionally since the age of 15 including as a member of the Renaissance Orchestra, Jazz Age Lawn Party (NYC Governor's Island), and the bands Sunroom, Asiko, and many others.
Elliot is the founder and host of Freedom from Sheet Music, a program designed to help pianists learn to play music without the need for sheet music.
With degrees in music from New England Conservatory (BM Jazz Composition), New York University (MA in Music Technology), and Arizona State University (DMA, Music Composition), Elliot is a composer, music innovator, and improvisor. He has taught at his alma maters, Phoenix College, Collins College and Paradise Valley Community College. He continues to teach private piano and jazz lessons and has done so for over 20 years.
Elliot has performed with ensembles all over the world, and has had pieces performed in concert halls in New York, Miami and Phoenix. His piano playing and writing has also been featured in independent films as well as national TV commercials and shows.
